First Moon Circle
11 February @ 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm AEDTA$100.00 – A$200.00
helping your daughter feel prepared, confident, knowledgable and positive about her puberty journey and periods.
The way we experience menarche (first period) shapes our beliefs about our own worth, power and value as a cyclical being, which stays with us forever. That’s why it’s so important that we start positively!
Your child will love this beautiful, magical 3.5 hour circle where she can learn all about how she can look after herself as she grows up.
Covering self-care, and teaching children how to get the best out of their superpowers as they begins their menstrual cycle, First Moon Circles are doing period education differently. Our circles are proving a fun and enjoyable way for girls and children who have or will have periods to learn, play, and feel supported at a pivotal time in their lives.
at their first moon circle your child will learn:
What periods are and what happens during the whole menstrual cycle (because there is so much more to it than just managing blood!)
The signs and stages of puberty so she can work out when her first period may come
Period care: product options, play and practice so when she needs to choose and use a product, she’s done it before
An overview of menstrual cycle self-care so she can nurture herself and be nurtured as her energy changes from ovulation to menstruation.
Receiving mother’s wisdom and well-wishes so she knows its not just she who bleeds, and that she has a village of people to support her through the process.
the run of the day
2-4PM: CHILDREN ONLY FOR THE FIRST TWO HOURS.
Ice breaking and story telling
period and puberty overview
4-5:30PM: MOTHERS AND CARERS JOIN US
the final 90 minutes is a mother-daughter circle focusing on bonding and having special time together, which will set up a powerful foundation going into the teen years.
teaching of cycle self-care to mothers and daughters so you can both talk about and do this together at home as a shared experience.
creating a ‘first moon bracelet’ to represent and remind of the four seasons of the menstrual cycle
wisdom and well-wishes shared from mothers to children in the circle
tea and light refreshment of cycle-nourishing foods
first moon circles are absolutely overflowing with value and will empower both mother and daughter forever
Children leave feeling more confident and empowered through greater knowledge, understanding and acceptance of what’s to come, and how powerful, important, special and transformational this phase of their life is.
Parents and children are supported to open up conversations to discuss periods and puberty (and who knows what else!) afterwards, having been held in the safe space of circle where this talk is safe and normalised.
If friends attend together, then they gain the added benefit of sisterhood, having this shared experience to refer back to, and to share wisdom with their other friends.
Parents are also supported to learn this wisdom alongside their daughter, feel safe and heard and be guided with tools and language to support their child.
And often, mothers are able to heal a part of their own relationship to their menarche and menstruation, through giving their child the support they wish they’d had as a child, and learning about their own cycles.
CHILDREN ALSO RECEIVE over $100 worth of gifts including:
A Moon Pack: a special gift pack containing period care samples and fabulous self-care items to support her emotionally, physically and spiritually in a lovely case.
My ‘First Moon Guide’ – a keepsake booklet full of fact sheets, guide to self-care for the cycle and a beginner cycle tracking sheet which you can keep reading and referring to with your child.
Keepsake First Moon bracelet which you and your daughter will make during the circle.
Plus afternoon tea for both child and parent is included.

Once you book your child to attend, I’ll send you some information to prepare you, the parent/guardian, ahead of the day, as well as to help you prepare your child for what to expect.
I’ll also share guidance with you on how to prepare your positive guidance that you want to share with the group on the day, which in turn will support you to keep this open conversation going at home. (If you don’t wish to say anything, I understand, and see you – however I do encourage you to acknowledge that by sharing some words you are healing your own relationship to your cycle, and breaking the pattern for your child. I am available for support sessions prior to the First Moon Circle, please email me about this).
