As the ices melt and the earliest spring bulbs peek through the frosty grounds, Imbolc arrives bringing the hope of renewal for the new cycle ahead. It’s the cross-quarter between the Winter Solstice (Yule) and the Spring Equinox (Ostara).
When Imbolc arrives we might feel really tired at the end of a long Winter, knowing it isn’t over yet. The cold winds are yet to arrive and it won’t be warm for another few months. It doesn’t feel remotely like Spring is here, but when you slow enough and look around, the signs are surely there. Nature is listening, and starting to awaken slowly from its dormant slumber.
“Darkness and silence can hold both the sparks of our dreams and the embers of our hopes. We are our own seeds of promise.”
This ceremony will be about hope, renewal, nurture, and rising.
