as the wheel of the year, the sun cycle, ends and begins once again at winter solstice, the cycle of death and rebirth continues. at yule, or winter solstice, we gather to celebrate all that has been birthed, grown, bloomed, harvested, decayed and died over the past year. as we walk our spiral we give thanks for what was. We also find the glimmer of light within ourselves during the dark, and begin to dream about what may come when the light returns.
traditionally winter solstice has been a very auspicious time, the darkest it will be on the longest night of the year. a time to go inwards, to reflect and celebrate, to acknowledge endings before we think about what’s next. as we build our capacity to slow down and find comfort and trust in the dark, we can grow trust in ourselves that the light – inwardly and outwardly – will return. such is the wisdom of the cycles.
Join us for our annual special winter solstice spiral ritual, feasting, celebration, sharing circle, journeying and sisterhood on this yule night.
I can’t wait to sit in circle with you.
