As the wheel of the year, the sun cycle, ends and begins once again at winter solstice, the cycle of death and rebirth continues. at yule, or winter solstice, we gather to celebrate all that has been birthed, grown, bloomed, harvested, decayed and died over the past year. as we walk our spiral we give thanks for what was. we also find the glimmer of light within ourselves during the dark, and begin to dream about what may come when the light returns. Samhain Full Moon Circle

Samhain is the witches new year, the end of autumn where all of the natural world is decaying, composting the old ready for the new to emerge in the spring. Samhain is the traditional name for halloween, so we celebrate it on the seasonally apt time in the southern hemisphere. this year, Samhain falls on the full moon, so we will gather under these potent energies when the veil is thin to the mysteries beyond to honour our loved ones, and the wisdom we have learnt over the year past.

Instead, the modern world has forced most girls to distrust their body, fear her symptoms, discredit her intuition, and direct her creative, fertile, sensual and sexual powers towards the opposite sex. 

As such, on the whole, disconnected, disembodied, disempowered girls become disconnected, disembodied, disempowered women, until we reclaim our inner Goddess natures for ourselves.
